Bug Description

This is bug in design, there is no way to import/export list of preset stations in gnomeradio 1.6. How to do backup of preset stations?

Other missing feature is missing controls to change order of preset stations. I failed to locate file with preset stations configuration, it is not described in man page.

When gnomeradio is run under otherdesktop (like icewm, blackbox, etc), preset station list is not available. I configured stations under Gnome desktop. Once I switched to different desktop, stations are gone, I have to define them again. Why is configuration not global?

The previous comment is not correct. There is anther problem with gnomeradio. List of preset stations is saved during gnome exit. I configured stations but didn't exit gnomeradio for several days. Later my Linux box crashed and as a result the station list is gone. This is not good, why is station list not saved after every change?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

Still Gnomeradio 1.6, no change in Ubuntu 7.04. I seriously miss export/import of preset stations too (to do backup, to copy configuration from one PC to another, etc).

I added this option with import/export to file with "Load from file" and "Save to file" buttons.

Valid schema format for xml file is like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <gnomeradio>
        <station name="Radio Guerrilla" freq="101.50" position="0"/>
        <station name="Rock FM" freq="92.20" position="1"/>
        <station name="Europa FM" freq="106.60" position="2"/>
    </gnomeradio>

POJAR,

That's great! Could you provide the patch that enables that feature?

Also, please make a mention of it in the upstream bugtracker:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379437

While there is no longer any active development for gnomeradio, if you wish, you could potentially take the lead and release a new version with this feature. I don't know the details of that from GNOME's side, but I'm sure you could figure it out.

Thanks!

Great job, Pojar.

Could you do me and the rest of the Free Software community and forward your patches upstream? That will make the lives of Ubuntu developers and other distribution users much more happy long term.

Again, thanks for your great work on this.
