Some community lenses do not display anything - UnityHorizontalRenderer not implemented

I finally got around to trying the lens out on unity 2d this weekend, and indeed, it shows up no results. I also tried out unity-gwibber-lens and unity-books-lens , and both of those seemed to have the same problem so it's possible that the bug is in unity 2d rather than any of the lenses. I need to test a couple more lenses to see if any of the community made ones actually work in unity 2d.

Regarding the issue with items launching with totem rather than banshee, I think this is a bug (Bug #751610) which appeared when banshee's launcher was renamed from 'banshee-1' to 'banshee' . Easiest way I found to fix it is to right click on a music file, select 'properties', then the 'open with' tab and select 'Banshee' there. You'll need to to that for one file of each music file type you have (mp3, wma, ogg etc)

I'm the unity-books-lens dev and I confirm the problem in Unity 2D.
Some lenses (books, gwibber, music, etc.) use a particular way of displaying lenses items called "UnityHorizontalRenderer" (icon on the left, title and subtitle on the right: http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/893/screenshot5cw.png ) instead of the default one "UnityDefaultRenderer" (icon on top, text on bottom: http://novatillasku.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/captureswj.png).
AFAIK, only the latter is implemented in Unity 2D, it's a bug.

@all: lp:~fboucault/unity-2d/dash_horizontal_renderer contains the implementation that is going to land in the daily release of Unity 2D. Please give it a go and tell me how it's working for you.

@Unity Music Lens developers (Teester?): the music lens is returning an icon name for which no corresponding icon exists as far as I can tell: "file"

This bug was fixed in the package unity-2d - 3.8.10-0ubuntu1
