Comment 13 for bug 222322

I am now thinking this problem may be related to the specific hardware that I am using. The full hardware listing is included above in the output of lshw when run on Dapper. The one from Hardy is missing one drive.

There are a couple of warning messages in the dmesg listing included above.
Driver 'sd' needs updating - please use bus_type methods
Driver 'sr' needs updating - please use bus_type methods
Some people suggest that these messages are of no consequence. I don't know, it just what I have read.

I think this problem is in the kernel, and will require a new kernel to fix this.
