Thanks, Kathy. The w3schools link -- http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_datalist -- has a dataset example on the right side of the page. It's not "auto", exactly, because it uses a fixed data set (instead of JS), but the "suggest" part is there. If that page works with JAWS, I would expect the "auto" version to work as well, since the HTML elements are the same.
