can you provide access to that input file, with that we might be able to
figure out whats causing the problem, can you also try:

ffmpeg2theora-0.27.exe --optimize --speedlevel 0 -a 1 -- aspect 16:9
 -x 720 -y 480 --nosubtitles Input_file_720p_x264_AAC_SRT_in_mkv

and let me know if that also crashes.
