Hi Seki,

You dont need to be afraid of submitting the patch upstream. As long as you clearly state what your initial issue was, which seems quite clear to me and say that you have only tested it on "x" and "y" thats fine. The maintainers upstream will review the patch and help with the testing too if needed.
