= My problem =
It seems that (I believe) if the printer is sleeping and I startup my computer (using wireless connection to the printer) the hp-systray actually does not appear on the bottom notification menu. It's strange since I seem it sometimes but I believe that's because the computer is not in sleeping mode.
I checked my settings and I don't have it set to 'hide' when there are no notifications. I have it set to show all the time. Why this is a problem is that if I want to scan a document remotely I cannot since I don't have access to teh systray application. I end up having to kill it and restart it again :/
= My Specs =
Ubuntu 12.04
Installed latest drivers from hplip opensource
Let me know if there are any other questions or debug things I can do to help you out.
Thanks
