Re comment 9 - that binary needs to be rebuilt with -g -O0, otherwise the crash information isn't useful.
On my 32 bit linux r14616 test system I just opened all of the InternalCrashError.zip files with no problems
EMF_illustrator_A4.emf did not open. When run in reademf the dump ends with:
U_EMR_SELECTOBJECT record: 9 type:37 offset: 240 rsize: 12 crc32:145418AD ihObject: 1 ABORTING on invalid record - corrupt file?
Looking into it. Probably another special case where an extra small record is allowed (none of the variable parts present).
