I'd have to agree with @James Jong on this front.
The freehand tool does this.
It seems entirely illogical to not respond when the user touches the stylus to the tablet.
The result should reflect the width / shape of the stroke in conjunction with the pressure applied.
This isn't as much of a wishlist in the traditional UI sense as the point when the individual is _touching_ the tablet, they are requesting response. One could take a similar view with the mouse click.
In short, 'nothing happens' shouldn't likely be the response.
