Well, (sorry for my delayed response as well)
I just checked with the latest devel version (Inkscape 0.48+devel r11535, under ArchLinux) and the bug seems to be fixed.
I can't reproduce it.

Inkscape 0.48+devel r11535 (latest bazaar updates)
Oxygen-gtk2 1.2.5-1
KDE 4.8.4
ArchLinux kernel 3.4.4

Unless somebody else reproduces the bug, it can be closed.
