Lenovo's/Microsoft's IntelligentTouchpad.exe was the problem for me. The mouse focus issue is present in .92.3 and .92.4. Inkscape 0.48.2 r9819 does *not* exhibit this problem. See attachment for more details and decompilation of IntelligentTouchpad.exe (using ILSpy) and native Win32 calls that could be root of conflict. Unsure.
