Comment 56 for bug 23369

Regarding the previous comment: the gnome-terminal in Dapper already sets the http_proxy/no_proxy environment variables (used by most applications e.g. curl, wget, apt-get) according to gconf settings. ftp_proxy is not set, not sure why.
