Sebastien Bacher pushed a new patch for unity-settings-daemon, it at :
lp:~seb128/unity-settings-daemon/non-unity-sessions-need-scaling

I tested this patch on a hidpi Lenovo laptop with kittyhawk2-trusty-amd64-iso-20150209-1.iso , it worked well, the windows was larger during installation.
