As we talked online, the more important entry in the pasted log is this one:

It seems that you are using a self-signed model for generating the image which causes the device registration task to fail, and that can make tests specifically designed to work on official images to fail.

Could you please confirm if the auto-refresh test passes on an image built using the model signed by canonical?
