I still have the same problem with a clean install of Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) 64-bit.
I got the package (0.7.3) from the PPA.
When I try to load profiles, the directories are empty (the files are actually there, but swatchbooker seems to fail to display them).
I tried several directories with icc profiles and it does the same.
The steps I'm following are the obvious, I think: Go to the color profiles area, click on the little arrow button on the right, choose add and browse a directory containing .icc files.
The preferences display the existing profiles in /usr/share/color/icc correctly, but even if I choose a default CMYK profile, I can't use it with swatches (I mean, the default CMYK profile isn't available in the profile drop-down when I edit the CMYK values for a swatch).
Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong, but I think this is a bug.
