@Mark: There are many fonts containing a few Greek letters that have identical "glyphs" with Latin characters. In fact 15 Greek letters have almost always identical glyphs with latin ones [1]. This is expected since the Latin alphabet is a "fork" :-) of the Greek one and the two evolved in close contact for many centuries.
This is not a problem in 99.9% of the time because you know if the letter is supposed to be a Greek or Latin one depending on the context. Ambiguity between characters of the same alphabet are a bit more troubling and should be avoided if possible (hence my previous complain on the new glyphs of ν and γ)
