Please don't worry. On the MSI board, 7.1 works over analog output out of the box. Here is what goes where, both according to the labels and to the fact:

Line In: blue jack
Front Left/Right: green jack
Microphone: red jack
Surround left/right: black jack
Center/LFE: orange (meant to be brown?) jack
Side Left/Right: light-gray jack
