now i have: $ uname -a Linux infrared 2.6.32-19-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Thu Apr 1 10:39:41 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux with alsa driver from the ppa
now the problem occurs not every time i jump in a track, but it is still there. it comes from jumping and if i change the volume of the application
strange: if sound fails, i just have to wait 5 seconds, and the same track with the same player is ok again
