you have to select a model for your alc887 , the auto model does not work

[ 12.828284] hda_codec: num_steps = 0 for NID=0xc (ctl = Front Playback Volume)
[ 12.848284] hda_codec: num_steps = 0 for NID=0xc (ctl = Front Playback Volume)

try those model of alc883/888 which create switch at node 0x0c since there is no volume control at node 0x0c
