Gratulations Antex if you work fine now - I don't

Reinstalled from scratch via mini iso from March 4th - keyboard works, mouse not neither on usb. I think this must be a HAL problem, because the USB pendrive I installed from seemingly is recognised:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 058f:6387 Alcor Micro Corp. Transcend JetFlash Flash Drive
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Now I have Gnome instead of KDE can use the ps/2 mouse and move it - it appears three or four times for a short while on screen and then disapears for good, clicking also sometimes works.

But - I found something I think I read about, have to check - dmesg | grep input

[ 13.041965] input: ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input5

This is WRONG - must be imps2 generic mouse or something - it's a simple logitech one.
