The new upstream 0.48.1 bug-fix release is now available in Sourceforge. It fixes a huge number of bugs, as described at:

* 533897 Editing a connector within a group that has been transformed returns it to its original position
* 552289 Ungrouping objects changes position of arrow lines
* 642417 Will not save .xcf file.
* 650890 Gimp XCF export fails when exporting from an unsaved new document
