I personnally don't think it's a good idea at all to move files from a removable device to ~/.Trash. Moving big files from USB1.0 cameras can be really long and annoying. Also, imho it just doesn't make sense to transfer files to another device when the user really wants to delete them.

There has to be some more creative way to manage this. Quick idea: maybe a delay could be put on the delete dialog when the files are on a removable device such as camera or usb stick. (I don't like this either, but it's the lesser of two evils imo)

There should be a deeper search for a coherent and usable solution.

P.S.: No OS/WM that I know of has this behavior.
