This problem also affects Ubuntu 12.04 beta 2 nautilus 3.4 as well.
Very, very unpleasant bug.

The second monitor can't be used, and the Twinview mode doesn't approach absolutely.
It was still possible to suffer, but support of Ubuntu 10.10 on April 10 ended and it was necessary to pass or to ubuntu 11.10, or on 12.04 - but everywhere this serious bug.
