Hi! I had this problem. I've fixed it by removing (or moving)
~> sudo mv /etc/X11/Xsession.d/81overlay-scrollbar .
It may be under a different name, but ending with overlay-scrollbar
Now I can launch any GTK apps without producing redundant output.
