That's the relevant part of the log:

Processing triggers for postgresql-common ...
debconf: DbDriver "templatedb": /var/cache/debconf/templates.dat is locked by another process: Resource temporarily unavailable
dpkg: error processing postgresql-common (--unpack):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

This seems to be a bug in how update-manager handles debconf?
