Looking at the reporter's "Card0.Amixer.values.txt", I see the same problem exists:

Simple mixer control 'Digital Input Source',0
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: 'Analog Inputs' 'Digital Mic 1'
  Item0: 'Analog Inputs'

Here again the digital input is actually set to analog, not the functional digital mic.
