I can confirm this issue; the new alsa-lib upload, 1.0.25, does not appear to be correctly routing output to pulseaudio by default as has been the case for several cycles, but it works correctly if one sets up asound.conf by hand to reference pulse. This of course needs to be fixed ASAP.
