I don't think that this report should be marked as "fixed release" since the following part of the initial report has not been addressed yet
"2) Create a small application that when clicked minimises all windows. Users who would like a 'minimise all windows' button can then add this application to their launcher."
The new alt-tab implementation is a step in the right direction but is not sufficient for users wanting to continue to use their mouse/trackpad for dealing with windows, desktop. etc.
