The worst part about this, is that if you hit your super key, and start typing immediately, the first two characters you type won't appear in the dash, then you have to backspace what you've typed and type it over.

This indicates to me, that the dash is acting like a program that has to launch before you interact with it.

All this should be pre-processed. I it should be running in the background, just waiting and anticipating that I'm about to hit my super key, so it can impress me that it is faster than I am!
