Steve Langasek (vorlon) wrote : update-manager crashed with Package libsignon-qt1 isn't installed in _run_in_dialog()

This happened when I did an 'apt-get autoremove --purge' from the shell to free up space after update-manager had launched, causing a package that was in the upgrade list to be removed. Since the apt database is not continuously locked while update-manager is running, it should gracefully handle changes to the installed package list between the time it displays the list and the time it applies the list to aptd.
