thanks for the link to the manual page

now after I have read it, it seems that this is no bug,
it is more that the toolbox seems to be made for a diffrent usecase than the one I had in mind

I have attached an example file, where you can try to create 'tables' with the height of 50 objects, and see my problem
and why the toolbox' results seemed so counterintuitive, and therefore looked like a bug to me.
