TB Email Folders

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0
Build ID: 20180704192850

Steps to reproduce:

TB 52.9.1 on Ubuntu 18.04.
To reproduce:
Have an POP account set up
Make sure to have the "Leave messages on server" checked (selected)
Right click on a message
Select "Delete Message"

Actual results:

Actual results:
The message gets marked as read (not bold anymore)
It is still showing in the email window (doesn't get deleted/moved)
Quit Thunderbird (close the program)
Start Thunderbird
Previously selected email is gone
It is not in either Trash folder

Expected results:

Expected results:
Message should be moved to the trash folder immediately upon clicking "Delete Message"

Attached: screen print of my email folders

Also, if you have a filter applied (eg. type ubuntu-news in the search bar), the right click on one message, selected "Delete message," it marks it as read (not bold anymore), then it stays there even after restart of Thunderbird. And the filter is still applied. Expected results: the deleted message should be in the trash folder. And when TB starts up, there should be no filter applied.
